What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data described in the feedback form, as well as the visitor IP address and user browser proxy string to help detect spam.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile photo will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Modes

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

With whom we share your data

How long do we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve any successive comments instead of keeping them in the review queue for approval.

For users who have registered on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Webmasters can also see and edit this information.

What rights do you have on your data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request a file to be exported from the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
